„A magyar felsőoktatási intézmények közül a Pécsi Tudományegyetem az első, amely Európai Unió egyetemeiből álló konzorcium vezetőjeként nyerte el az Európai Bizottság ERASMUS támogatását”
A Pécsi Tudományegyetem egy hat EU egyetemből álló konzorcium vezetőjeként elnyerte az Unió ERASMUS Bizottságánank programtámogatását, ami egy EU szintű mesterképzési program kifejlesztéséről szól a migrációs egészségügy területén (MSC in Migrant Health: Addressing New Challenges in Europe – CHANCE).
Tudomásunk szerint először történt meg, hogy magyar egyetem, mint EU egyetemekből álló önálló konzorcium vezetője, Uniós szintű MSC program kifejlesztésére, sikeresen pályázott az Európai Bizottság támogatására. Emellett a PTE ÁOK számára külön is nagyon eredményes volt a 2011. januárban, Brüsszelben megrendezett ERASMUS coordinators' meeting, ahol - egyedüli magyar intézményként - megkapta a „Partner in Europe – ERASMUS Curriculum Development Program” titulust.
A hároméves programindító konferenciáját február 7-8-án rendezik meg az Általános Orvostudományi Karon. A megnyitóra február 7-én, hétfőn 10:00 órakor kerül sor az ÁOK Dékáni Tanácstermében. A partner intézetek és együttműködő európai egyetemek neves szakmai küldöttei vesznek részt a Pécsi Tudmányegyetem, Danube University Krems, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Medizinische Universität Graz, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt- Universität Greifswald, az University of East Anglia és végül, de nem utolsó sorban a program társult partnere az EURIPA (European Rural and Isolated Practitioners Association) részéről. A konferencia jelentőségét tovább növeli, hogy a február 8-i programra ellátogat a brüsszeli ERASMUS iroda második embere, Gilles Gervais.
